It became known, who decided to hack the iPhone of the terrorist for FBI and how much it costs

It seems that the FBI lost any hope to get assistance in unlocking Apple iPhone 5C of the terrorist who in December of the last year made a shooting in San Bernardino (California USA). At first, John McAfee has offered his help, later he abandoned that idea and now the specialists from the Israeli company Cellebrite, specialized in software development, decided to hack the iPhone.

“If they manage to hack the iPhone of the terrorist, the FBI would no longer depend on Apple in this matter” – according to Reuters.

On Monday, March 21 the day before the court session on the case of Apple and the US Department of Justice, FBI suddenly postponed the hearing. The department is explained the emergence of new circumstances that may help to unlock the iPhone without Apple intervention. One the same day the FBI has signed a contract with the Cellebrite in the amount of $15 thousand dollars.

Apple released the iOS 9.3, OS X 10.11.4, watchOS 2.2, tvOS 9.2

After the Apple Keynote event not only a firmware update for iOS appeared, but new versions of the rest of the Apple operating systems too.

iOS 9.3

The new features in this version, as we previously talked about, are new Night Shift mode, enhanced Notes, News, Health and Apple Music applications. In the case of Notes there is an increased protection with the possibility of using passwords to protect your notes. Also, the update fixes numerous vulnerabilities, including the recently found iMessage vulnerability that was allowing the attackers to intercept and decrypt the pictures and videos sent through the messaging service. It is recommended to everyone to upgrade to the new version.

OS X 10.11.4

The new version of OS X acquired a brief but concise list of innovations. Added support for Live Photos in Messages and AirDrop, synchronizing PDF-files in iCloud, as well as the opportunity to work with encrypted notes, which can be hidden behind a password. In addition, the operating system has received a strong package of fixes and improvements. Update is already available through the Mac App Store.

watchOS 2.2

The operating system for smart watches also received some improvements. Now, you can connect multiple watches to one iPhone, switching between them occurs automatically as soon as you wear them on your wrist and look at the display. In addition, the improvement obtained a native Apple maps application. It is already possible to install a new watchOS via the app on iOS.

tvOS 9.2

The most “young” firmware, tvOS, too did not remain without innovation. There were advanced integration of Siri, a folder for content, Live Photos and support for iCloud Photo Library and Bluetooth keyboar. The firmware is already available for download.

Apple has released a brand cable Lightning / USB-C

Apple presentations have always received a great response and attention, but some related products the company produces quietly. That is exactly what happened with the surprise appearance on Apple’s website, the new Lightning cable that can be connected to the USB-C connector.

Accessory is available in two versions – in lengths of 1 and 2 meters and costs $25 and $35, respectively. The cable probably will be liked by the owners of the 12-inch MacBook with the Retina display, which has only 2 connectors USB-C and 3.5mm. USB-C / Lightning cable will allow you to directly connect iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to the laptop to transfer data or charging without any adapters.

Furthermore, in the description of the product it is reported that using Lighting / USB-C together with a cable adapter Apple USB-C with the power of 29 Watt you can quickly recharge 12,9 inch iPad Pro.

It is now available to pre-order the iPhone SE and iPad Pro 9.7

You can now order the new devices presented on the recent Apple’s presentation. Pre-orders can be made on the official website on the purchase section of the smartphone and tablets. Recalling that the new iPhone SE costs $399 and $499 for the 16 and 64 GB, respectively, and iPad Pro 9.7-inches – $599, $749 and $899 for 32, 128 and 256 GB.

Apple has released revised version of iOS 9.3 for iPad 2

Apple has released a revised iOS 9.3 build for the iPad 2. It has a number 13E236 and already started to spread among iPad 2 users. It is the same assembly of iOS 9.3, which was released on Monday for all (number 13E234 for iPhone and 13E233 for iPad) but with corrected problem of activation. iPad 2 users, whose devices became “bricks” can install the firmware by connecting the tablet to iTunes on the computer or via the device settings as usual.

Recalling, shortly after the release of the iOS 9.3 update users of “old” Apple mobile devices, especially the earlier versions of iPad, have begun to complain about the following issue: after installing the update the device cannot be activated and bypass the activation lock screen. Basically the device gets stuck on that stage, becoming, in fact, useless.
