How to activate iPhone or iPad after iOS 9.3 update
The release of iOS 9.3 brought some problems for the owners of the old iPhones and iPads. Many users complained that after updating their smartphones and Apple tablets they couldn’t activate them – Enter the Apple ID screen doesn’t allow to go through the activation. Fortunately, you can fix this problem by yourself and I will tell you how.
As were reported there are two common locking cases. The first – the system generates an error when you try to input your Apple ID data and doesn’t allow to activate the device. By other words, the device refuses to accept even the correct password and leave you on the preset screen. It is impossible to skip this stage.
About the second case, the Apple wrote itself. The company indicated that, in some cases, when user inputs incorrect password the device starts to generate an error that can be eliminated only by password recovery. It’s hard to do when you have a device that doesn’t work. Also, it is impossible to bypass Apple ID entry stage.
Follow the steps below, to fix your iPhone or iPad after iOS 9.3 update:
- Check if it is exactly this device tied to the Apple ID that you input
Go to the iClound.com from your computer and enter the Apple ID, which you input on the iPhone or iPad lock screen. Afterwards go to settings. Under the section My devices you will see the list of all of your gadgets tied to that Apple ID. If you can’t find there your desired device – you input the wrong Apple ID on your iPhone or iPad. If everything is correct, do not close the tab with the iCloud.com in your browser and proceed to the next step.
- Activate through iTunes on your computer
You can activate your iOS device through iTunes on your computer. Connect your iPhone or iPad to a PC/Mac, go to the iTunes, update it to the latest version, select the device and then enter the Apple ID.
- Remove the iOS-device from iCloud
Turn off your iPhone or iPad, return to the iCloud.com website and select Find iPhone and then clock on the All devices. In the list that appears, click on the desired device and then delete it from the “Find iPhone”. You might be prompted to confirm the removal of iOS device from the iCloud.
Now the activation of your device with Apple ID should go without problems.
