WWDC16 – Apple will present a new ultra-thin 13- and 15-inch MacBook
Apparently, Apple has decided to completely reformat its line of laptops. According to vendors, the company is preparing new ultra-thin MacBooks, which will appear on the market at the end of the second quarter (end of June). It is expected that those models will be 13 and 15 inches.
At the present time it is not known which specific models are referred, but it is reported that the gadgets will be thinner than the current version of MacBook Air and repeat the design of 12-inch MacBook. Also, they will be equipped with Retina display. The hardware component of the 13 and 15-inch laptops will undergo changes, but details were not disclosed. It is quite possible that Apple will abandon the “air” line.
Currently Apple offers a MacBook Air with 11 and 13-inch screen. The line has never had 15-inch laptops. After the release of the MacBook, which immediately became a hit among users, many believed that the Air models will not be developed any further, therefore the release of the updated MacBook Air will be a surprise. It is expected that the new notebooks will have Intel Skylake processors and port Thunderbolt 3 with USB-C support. The transition to the new chips will provide increase not only in the performance but also improvements in battery life of devices by 15-30%.
Multiple reliable sources stating that Apple will likely renew all three laptop lines – MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. It is not excluded that the new model will be presented within the WWDC developer conference, which is rumored to be launched on June 13 of this year. In this regard, Asus, Lenovo and Dell are preparing their response to Apple. In addition to laptops, will definitely be presented updates for all operating systems and, perhaps, the new Mac Pro.
