Indian developers presented the cheapest smartphone in the world. While you can buy a cup of coffee for $4 in Europe, a few thousand kilometers away you can get a real smartphone for the same money. Why ultra-budgetary Freedom 251 selling for this price, whether it is made from acorns and matches, and whether the manufacturer had heard of such a phenomenon as profits?

Freedom 251 is selling without contract and the hardware, maybe is very weak, but, obviously, is worth more than $4. No, Ringing Bells didn’t decide to sell equipment at a loss, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi financing the project of the smartphone, so the company doesn’t go bankrupt. Ringing Bells was founded in 2015 and the company has already released four models of smartphones, including phones with 4G module for $44.
