Apple blocks iPhone 6 repaired by third parties

The latest iOS update for iPhone 6 disables further use of your smartphone, if it detects that it has been repaired by unofficial representatives of Apple.

The problem that new smartphone users began to face known as “error 53” and has previously been seen with other products of Apple. Smartphones of the users who earlier repaired the main smartphone button “Home” in the third party store, stopped working after installing the latest version of iOS 9 operating system.

“In recent years I spent more than thousand pounds on Apple production and when I brought my bricked phone to the Apple store in London, the staff told me that they can do nothing, and that my phone is now useless” – Antonio Olmos – the photographer and the owner of the iPhone that was blocked because of the “error 53”.

On Apple’s forums one of the users complains that he cannot use the iPhone anymore, although still have to pay for it on a monthly basis. In the UK and other countries, the price of smartphones is usually included in the two-year contract with a monthly subscription fee.

“I really repaired a broken screen on my phone and I realize that now it is officially considered a fake, but let me at least use it on old operating system. I cannot access the old photos and important documents” – says owner of the iPhone 6.

Apple confirmed that the latest iOS update checks whether repairs were performed by authorized agents of the manufacturer. Owners of smartphones, confronted with the “error 53” advised to contact the Apple support.
