Apple is already testing the new dual cameras for the new iPhone 7 Plus

As we already know, there are several rumors about the dramatically different camera of the new generation that will be equipped on the iPhone 7 Plus. These rumors are increasingly supported by reports from several companies that will be involved in the manufacturing process of this novelty.

In other words, if we look at the evolution from the iPhone 6 Plus to the iPhone 6S Plus, we are almost sure that the iPhone 7 Plus will receive this fantastic innovation. Of course we are calling innovation but in the world of Apple, Android fans can argue with this statement because there already exists at least one device with Google’s operating system that already has this technology of two or more camera lenses. The question is what firmware will Apple develop to take advantage of two lenses, possibly, placed side by side. As we know, Apple is notorious for making already existing technologies to become mainstream.

Yesterday one reliable source published a new report which states that the Taiwanese company, Largan Technology, with another Chinese and another Japanese, sent to Apple testing prototypes of lenses.

iPhone 7 Plus with innovative dual camera?

Many smartphones providers based in Chine, such as Lenovo, ZTE and Qiku have adopted dual-lens cameras in their smartphones. Even Huawei adopted an image processing chip Altek for dual-lens cameras. The market is indeed moving up in that direction.

The Largan is currently a company who provides, according to some information revealed by operators in the middle of the supply chain, about 60% of Apple’s cameras, so to minimize the risk in the implementation of a new technology, the Cupertino company is looking for other vendors.

Earlier in the interview with 60 Minutes on CBS News, Apple had proved its commitment when it comes to the iPhone camera software as a clear commitment to captivate users. No doubt the iPhone 7 Plus will bring something that is a step forward in this chapter of technology.
