Having problems with battery percentage on the iPhone 6S / 6S Plus?
Since 2015 some users have been complaining about the fact that the battery percentage indicator on the iPhone 6S / 6S Plus is not updating. Apple has always been aware of this problem, but, for some reason, never provided a solution for it.
Now, after a few months, the Cupertino company finally informed the solution to this “bug”. According to many users, the battery life indicator on the iPhone 6S / 6S plus has stopped updating after the latest iOS updates. This means that the user no longer has the notion of how much autonomy the battery still has, which may cause the equipment to switch off in any moment, even while still having some battery charge (observed via battery icon).
According to Apple, the problem is related to the change of time zone:
If you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or change time zones when traveling, you might notice that the battery percentage doesn’t update. Learn what to do.
So, if you have such a problem, then here is the solution provided by Apple itself. First of all, reboot your iPhone and then go to the Settings -> General -> Date & Time and verify that option Set Automatically is enabled.
This should help you to fix the issue with the iPhone 6s / 6s Plus not updating battery percentage. If it didn’t help, then I suggest you to contact Apple support.
