75% of Apple’s mobile devices have iOS 9 installed
The highlight appears on the App Store support page for programmers and shows that at present less than 20% of mobile devices have iOS 8 and 7% are still using older versions.
These data show an increase of 4% compared with last month and reveal that Apple has had significant growth over the festive period. In addition, it shows that this version of iOS has been adopted faster than its predecessor, iOS 8.
The number should continue to grow over the coming months. It is expected that Apple presents its new operating system iOS 10 for iPhone and iPad in June. This new version will only be released to the public in September, along with the launch of the next generation of iPhones.
