The new iPhone is likely to have two rear cameras
Recently, Apple filled a patent application which is referred to two cameras on the rear of a smartphone.
The most recent iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are currently the most powerful smartphones to capture the best quality photographs, along with equipment such as LG or Samsung. The plank is high and rivals cannot disappoint the market and have to compete. Perhaps for this reason, Apple is investing in a new patent which places a second camera on the back of your smartphone.
What is the purpose of a second camera on the iPhone?
The patent entitled “Mobile Camera System” shows that the purpose of Apple is to use multiple cameras to offer various options to the user through a single photographic system. In one system, two camera’s units of a single component taking pictures simultaneously from different visual fields.
Basically the second camera will serve to capture images with zoom without losing quality. This two-cameras system would consist of a camera lens with a larger than usual, and another to allow a deeper focal length. Moreover, this two cameras system could include features such as 3D mapping, taking photos and video simultaneously and allow you to shoot at different speeds. For example, one camera can shoot slow motion while another take 4k pictures, all simultaneously.
Over the past few years Apple has obtained several patents for what is considered one of the most important components of Apple’s mobile devices – a camera. Recently, and after several years of waiting, Apple decided to improve rear and front camera of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in addition to new features like the frontal flash.
