iPhone 7 Plus may have larger battery and 256 GB storage

We just stepped into the 2016 and already can speak more strongly about the next iPhone, the iPhone 7. Of course the market expects it to be not the same device, with the same look and the same type of small technological breakthroughs, in short, the market expects big news.

After several rumors pointing to “natural” hardware improvements, there is now a report that refers to an important fact: the iPhone 7 Plus will bring much larger battery and a capacity of 256 GB.

D jack, e-SIM and IPX7?

A few days ago we talked about some of the innovations that will be part of the new iPhone. Particularly, news that the new iPhone will be waterproof and bring new 2 mm jack, which will be called D jack, given its appearance. Some rumors also spoke about new technology for SIM cards, which will be the e-SIM.

E-SIM is a new standard of SIM cards, that user can use for any network without too much difficulty. Apple wants the new e-SIM cards to be initially mounted in a device and inaccessible to the user. E-SIM will act as a kind of IDs, and smartphone owners will be able to choose which operator services to use and change the operator if necessary without any problems. It is expected that e-SIM will be adopted as a standard in 2016.

IPX7 is a waterproof standard that means that future iPhone 7 device will be protected against water immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter.

The latest rumor and probably the most important one concerns the hypothetical iPhone 7 Plus which may be equipped with the new 256 GB storage capacity. In addition, the battery will be higher than those currently installed on the Plus models.

New Battery 3100 mAh and storage of 256 GB in iPhone 7

The battery of 3100 mAh is approximately 12.7% higher than current battery used on the iPhone 6S Plus. This should bring an interesting level of autonomy to the device. As for storage, it is time for Apple to discontinue the current lower storage of 16 GB and add the 256 GB, so we can expect that apple devices will be available with 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of storage capacity.

However, the news doesn’t stop here. The RAM memory can also be upgraded to 3 GB. The cherry on the cake would be the new iPhone 7 Plus with the latest A10 and M10 co-processor. Finally the latest rumors: some experts saying that the iPhone 7 will be released earlier than expected, breaking the tradition of the last years of Apple to introduce novelties in September. It will be again presented in June, as already happened before.
