Recent Apple’s patent reveals that the 4 new Beats Radios may be on the way
Beats 1 is probably the best part of Apple Music. Argue with that indisputable fact is quite difficult. The guys from Apple are smart and understand that live radio is a benefit key of their music service. Soon competitors will try to catch up, but now is the time to develop this niche.
Apple has applied for registration of trademarks Beats 2, Beats 3, Beats 4, Beats 5 and respective logos that can be seen on the image below.
Currently Beats 1 Radio is considered the strongest product of streaming music platform, Apple Music. Managed by DJ Zane Lowe, the station runs 24 hours a day and it is relied with the participation of some of the leading artists from the music world, and has been widely praised by critics. Not long ago, Apple Music signed exclusive contract with Taylor Swift.
Currently we don’t know details about new Beats Radios. On one hand, given the success of the first season, it is possible that Apple intends to expand its number of radio stations also forcing an exponential increase of the team. On the other hand, these Apple patents can only serve to ensure that no one tries to register a similar name to the radio that already exists. Although, it is less likely, considering the legal battle that could occur if someone tried to do that.
