7 best features of iOS 9
The iOS 9 is very efficient and it’s a truth, but we have selected the top seven characteristics or features of the new iOS. They show the dedication of Apple developers to continuous progress. So, let’s start.
Siri suggests
Siri is more proactive in iOS 9, providing you recommendations based on your preferences. What does that mean? If you have the habit of calling your girlfriend always after work or often leave Instagram in sleep mode (Just one more picture and I’ll go to bed), then this is exactly what you will find in Siri Suggestions: your most called contacts and your most used applications. Thank you, Siri. Very useful.
Interactive music
Once you connect your headphones to the iPhone, the music application will be launched. Moreover, what’s even more fun, the music will start playing the most often heard music in this part of the day.
Where to go?
Apple Maps are synchronized with the feature “near you” and now is able to suggest you content nearby. Simply touch the icons of Music & Drama, Parks & Sport and immediately get a list of locations such as gas stations, restaurants or parking lots. Unfortunately Apple Maps is not yet developed in terms of worldwide presence, like Google Maps, and that’s the only limitation of this feature, but we believe that Apple’s database grows with every moment.
Two apps at once
It is very simple and useful. iOS 9 allows you to view and work with two applications at the same time. However, this feature is only available for iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 users.
Low Power Mode
Every time your battery drops below 20 percent, you will get a warning message “Low Power Mode”. It will alert you what are the applications and resources that will be temporarily disabled. You can tap on “Continue” and activate the “Lower Power Mode” or “Cancel” and continue to use your iPhone. Apparently, you can survive up to three hours with the “Low Power Mode”. Also, you can select the Low Power Mode at any time, not just when the battery is almost dead. The mode will be disabled automatically without your intervention, once the battery is charged up to a certain percentage. Convenient isn’t it?
Back to previous applications
A small but very helpful feature – the back button. That’s exactly what you think it is – a button that lets you got back to the application that you used previously, with a simple touch. It is in the upper left corner where usually see the Wi-Fi signal or network carrier. Easy and fast!
Siri, play Metallica!
So, we started with Siri and we will finish with it. Apple’s personal assistant has evolved a lot since the last time we saw him. Now it can answer complex questions like: ”Hey, Siri, where can I eat the best burgers?” Or “What weather will be tomorrow? Also it can be your personal DJ, you can ask “Hey, Siri, play the most popular songs of 1998”.
