New Case for iPhone 6 that collects energy from the air
Nikola Labs is an American start-up company that invented a smart case for iPhone 6 that can get the energy required to charge the smartphone’s battery from the air. The presentation of this wonderful case that costs only $99 took place at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference in New York. The creators have shown how this smart case can receive the radio frequency signals such as Wi-Fi and transform them into energy.
“It’s not a miracle, we just simply use the technology of the XXI century for mobile devices of the XXI century. Our technology allows to transform wasted radio frequency energy from mobile devices into an additional charge for battery” – says the founder of Nikola Labs Will Zell.
“Our device allows you to take the energy from the air for absolutely free. Our case has an integrated antenna, which collects radio frequency energy and then transforms it into electricity and provides the charge for the smartphone”.
This technology can help users to extend the battery life of their smartphones by 30%.
Nikola Labs did not invented the technology, however they were first to produce and show the finished product. The developer will start selling the device after getting funded on kickstarter. Unfortunately until now the campaign couldn’t raise funds for the project.
iPhone 6 case might be the first product made by Nikola Labs, however the company has already plans to bring to market another charging device for wireless transmission of energy of near and far fields. The main objective is to provide 100% mobility.
