The iPhone 6C will be released in spring 2016
Ming-Chi Kuo, the expert from KGI Securities Company, known for his accurate predictions about apple products, presented an analytical report confirming rumors about release of a 4-inch iPhone. According to analyst, the new “apple” smartphone will be looking like iPhone 5S, but with rounded edges display, just like the iPhone 6S. The release of iPhone 6C, most probably will be in spring of 2016.
What we know about the iPhone 6C?
According to the analyst, iPhone 6C will get metal body, A9 chipset, like the iPhone 6S, protective glass 2.5D, Touch ID sensor and NFC support to be able to make payments via Apple Pay. iPhone 6C (most likely the name of the future smartphone) will be equipped with the same cameras as the current versions of the iPhone. Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the value of the new smartphone in the US will be around $400 without the contract with the service provider. It is $249 less than the current model of iPhone 6s 16Gb.
Most likely, iPhone 6C will be available in three colors. Unlike the iPhone 6S, the smartphone will not support the pressing force recognition technology called 3D Touch. According to a fairly reliable source, the Japanese blog Macotakara, iPhone 6C can get the chip A8, used in previous generation phones (iPhone 6) and not A9 – Kuo predicts.
Despite the fact that the new model is unlikely to be hugely popular, Apple has some good reasons for its release. Firstly, 4-inch devices are still in demand. Kuo assumes that in 2016 the number of sold iPhones with 4-inch diagonal might reach up to 15-17 million, since a lot of people are still waiting for the release of “budget” iPhone.
